Mitchell's Drive-Thru

Project Description
For this project I had to design a drive-thru restaurant for a company of my choosing, which I went with Mitchell's ice-cream. I was given a basic layout for the restaurant, but I could design the external appearance of the establishment. After coming up with multiple possible designs, I picked the best and modeled it in Sketchup. I then exported a 2D image to procreate where I hand rendered the design.

There was also inspiration from other restaurants and fast food chains which I then integrated into the design.
When ideating my goal was to create a wide variety of designs. Each one would tie back to a typical Mitchell's establishment in some way and then deviate from it to create something new.
In the end I went the more traditional design as it best aligned with a typical Mitchell's location.

I made a point throughout the design of maintaining the two main colors associated with Mitchell's, pink and orange. The logo is also repeated throughout the interior and exterior so that they line up when viewed from the street outside.

I also incorporated an outdoor seating area for enjoying ice cream during the summer. This render is set during sunset to give that cozy feeling to the outdoor seating.
